In observation of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, we're sharing a children's book by Dr. Bernice King and Dr. Kimberly Johnson called "It Starts with Me!"

Amora, the main character, invites kids (young and old!) to allow love to drive their words and actions. She shares her story of learning to be courageous and kind.

“It Starts with Me!” description from the authors:
Join Amora as she encourages her friends to BE LOVE™. She shows them how to open their hearts and minds by allowing love to drive their words, actions, and thoughts. Through love, we can create a world where everyone feels like they belong. Come along with Amora as she introduces us to the Beloved Community!
The Beloved Community is a place where each person finds what inspires them to make the world a better place. More importantly, it is where everyone has an opportunity to live and grow. We know that we all can contribute to making the world better but we have to know that it starts with each of us taking a stand and finding our voice in the world.
